Adcock Partners opens in Quilpie with a party
The sale by the Bain family of young steers for 427c/kg on AuctionsPlus set the scene for a celebratory atmosphere when Adcock Partners Property and Livestock opened its Quilpie branch on Friday night.
Gathering at the Heritage Inn, Thargomindah, Jundah and Adavale producers together with Quilpie locals shared the excitement of rising cattle prices and hope for rain with the newest stock and property agency in town.
Founding partner Andrew Adcock said the company was very excited about the service it could offer the region, describing new Quilpie partners Sam and Courtney Bartlett and daughter Sadie as the future of the business.
He and the business’s other partner Michael Spencer, together with their wives, hosted the welcome event and introduced Fox and Lillie Woolbrokers representatives Montanna Schollick and Eamon Timms, who will be handling the wool marketing side of the business.
“I’ve been coming to Quilpie all my life – as a footballer, a bookmaker, and as a relieving publican,” Mr Adcock said. “It’s a great reason to come here now with an office in the region.”
The gathering also helped Mr Adcock celebrate his 61st birthday.
